Shipping Policy
Last updated: [March 25, 2025]
This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed through House of Nile at houseofnile.com. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to this Shipping Policy, as well as our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
Order Processing
All orders are subject to review, acceptance, availability, and payment verification.
Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days, excluding weekends, holidays, carrier disruptions, and periods of high order volume. Processing times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
House of Nile reserves the right to delay, refuse, hold, or cancel any order at any time for reasons including, but not limited to, suspected fraud, payment verification issues, inventory discrepancies, shipping restrictions, pricing or listing errors, or other business or legal concerns. If an order is canceled after payment has been received, a refund will be issued in accordance with applicable law.
Shipping Rates and Methods
Shipping rates, methods, and any applicable delivery estimates are displayed at checkout. We reserve the right to select the carrier and shipping method used to fulfill your order unless a specific shipping method is expressly purchased and confirmed.
Shipping charges are non-refundable once an order has been shipped, except where required by applicable law.
Estimated Delivery Times
Any delivery or transit times shown on our Site, at checkout, in emails, or in marketing materials are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.
Delivery estimates begin after order processing is complete and do not include weekends, holidays, customs clearance time, carrier delays, weather events, labor disruptions, force majeure events, or other circumstances outside our control.
House of Nile is not responsible for shipping delays caused by carriers, customs authorities, weather, natural disasters, public emergencies, labor shortages, transportation interruptions, government actions, or any other events beyond our reasonable control.
Address Accuracy
Customers are solely responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping information at checkout.
House of Nile is not responsible for delays, failed deliveries, losses, or additional costs resulting from incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or undeliverable shipping information provided by the customer. If an order is returned to us due to an address issue, failed delivery attempts, refusal, or non-collection, we may, at our discretion:
reship the order at the customer’s expense, or
issue a refund for the item price only, less original shipping charges, return shipping charges, handling costs, payment processing fees where permitted, and any other amounts incurred by us.
Address change requests are not guaranteed once an order has been placed.
Lost, Stolen, or Marked-Delivered Packages
Once an order has been transferred to the carrier, shipping responsibility may pass to the customer to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
House of Nile is not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, delayed, misplaced, or inaccessible after the carrier marks the shipment as delivered to the address provided at checkout. Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery location is secure.
If tracking shows a package as delivered but you did not receive it, you must first contact the carrier directly, check with household members, neighbors, building staff, and the delivery area. House of Nile may, but is not obligated to, assist with carrier claims or delivery investigations.
Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Items
Customers must inspect orders promptly upon delivery.
Any claim for a damaged, defective, missing, or incorrect item must be submitted to thejnilecollection@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery and must include:
the order number,
a description of the issue,
clear photos of the item,
clear photos of the packaging, and
any other supporting information we request.
Failure to report delivery-related issues within this timeframe may result in denial of the claim to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Split Shipments
We reserve the right to ship orders in multiple packages, from different fulfillment locations, and at different times. Split shipments do not entitle the customer to additional refunds, credits, or cancellations.
Delays and Unavailability
If an item becomes unavailable after an order is placed, or if fulfillment is materially delayed, House of Nile may, at its discretion and subject to applicable law:
cancel the affected item or order,
issue a refund for the unavailable portion,
hold the order pending restock,
offer a substitute, or
contact the customer with further options.
International Shipping
If international shipping is offered, customers are solely responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, tariffs, handling charges, or other government-imposed costs associated with the order unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout.
International delivery times are estimates only. Customs inspections, border processing, local carrier delays, and import restrictions are outside our control.
If an international order is refused, abandoned, unclaimed, destroyed by customs, or returned due to import restrictions or unpaid duties/taxes, House of Nile may deny any refund or may deduct all shipping charges, return expenses, customs-related costs, and handling fees from any refund to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Cancellations
Orders may only be canceled before processing or fulfillment begins, and cancellation requests are not guaranteed.
Once an order has been processed, packed, prepared for shipment, or handed to the carrier, it cannot be canceled. If cancellation is approved, any non-recoverable fees or costs already incurred by House of Nile may be deducted from the refund where permitted by law.
Limitation of Shipping Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, House of Nile shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from shipping delays, failed deliveries, carrier errors, customs actions, address issues, theft, loss after delivery confirmation, or events beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in this Shipping Policy excludes or limits any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
